Terms of Service

Welcome to PraatMet! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PraatMet mobile application (the "App") operated by LeapingCode ("we", "us", or "our").

By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

PraatMet is a Dutch language learning app that provides:

• Real-time voice conversations with an AI tutor
• Language level assessment
• Practice scenarios for everyday situations
• Progress tracking and feedback

2. Account Registration

• You must sign in with Apple to use the App
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
• You agree to provide accurate information

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Tier

• Free accounts receive 10 minutes of practice time per month
• All features are available within the time limit

Pro Subscription

• Pro subscribers receive 200 minutes of practice time per month
• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Apple
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings

Minute Packs

• You may purchase additional minutes as one-time purchases
• Purchased minutes do not expire
• Minute packs are non-refundable

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's services
• Use the App to generate harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
• Use automated systems to access the App

5. Intellectual Property

• The App and its content are owned by LeapingCode
• You retain ownership of your conversation transcripts
• You grant us a license to use your data to provide and improve the service
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App without permission

6. AI-Generated Content

• The AI tutor responses are generated by artificial intelligence
• While we strive for accuracy, AI responses may contain errors
• The App is a learning tool, not a replacement for professional language instruction
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content

7. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

• The App will be available at all times
• The App will be error-free
• Learning outcomes or language proficiency improvements
• The accuracy of AI-generated feedback

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEAPINGCODE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

9. Termination

• You may stop using the App at any time
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately
• You may request deletion of your data by contacting us

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
